Twenty Years with Keller Williams: Lessons from a Charleston Real Estate Career Built to Last
This month, I reached a milestone that stopped me in my tracks: 20 years of building my real estate business with Keller Williams Realty—and 23 years total serving clients in the Charleston, South Carolina real estate market.
In an industry known for constant change, shifting trends, and plenty of noise, longevity doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through alignment—knowing who you are, how you work, and how you want to serve people.
From the very beginning of my career in Charleston real estate, I chose intention over reaction. I wasn’t interested in chasing every new trend or reinventing myself every market cycle. I wanted to build something sustainable, values-driven, and rooted in service.
Building a Real Estate Business on Alignment, Not Noise
Charleston is a unique market. Its neighborhoods, history, architecture, and people demand more than surface-level expertise. Success here requires patience, consistency, and a deep respect for relationships.
Keller Williams provided the foundation that allowed me to grow that way. The systems helped sharpen my skills. The training supported long-term thinking. And the culture—centered on collaboration rather than competition—reinforced the importance of doing business the right way.
That alignment gave me the freedom to grow without losing my voice or my standards.
The People Are the True Asset
Over the past two decades, one of the greatest rewards hasn’t been transactions—it’s been people. This career has introduced me to clients, colleagues, and mentors I never expected to meet and taken me to places I never imagined I’d go.
Real estate may be about homes, but at its core, it’s about trust.
Those relationships have shaped how I serve buyers and sellers across Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry, how I guide clients through major financial decisions, and how I think about long-term wealth and legacy.
Twenty-Three Years In, Still Building
After 23 years in real estate, I can say this with confidence: experience matters. It teaches you how to navigate market shifts, manage uncertainty, and advocate effectively for your clients—especially in competitive or changing conditions.
I never imagined I’d do anything this long. Yet here I am—still learning, still serving, still building.
Still realtoring.
Still empire building.
Still committed to helping people make smart real estate decisions in Charleston, South Carolina.
Where Entrepreneurs Thrive
Keller Williams has always positioned itself as a place where entrepreneurs thrive. For me, that has meant the ability to build a business with longevity, integrity, and purpose.
Twenty years later, I remain grateful—for the lessons, the relationships, and the opportunity to continue serving this community I call home.
